Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Wedding Surprise!

People Magazine is reporting that Penelope Cruz is married! Penelope Cruz and fiance Javiar Bardem apparently tied the knot in a quiet, private ceremony with friends and family in the Bahamas sometime in early July.

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Wedding Details!

People Magazine says its no surprise the Penelope Cruz wedding was so low key; Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem have been very hush-hush about their relationship ever since they started dating in 2007. Though there are no Penelope Cruz wedding pictures available yet, People gave a short description of the A-list star's wedding dress: "The bride wore a gown designed by designer John Galliano, a longtime friend of the actress."

Both Oscar-winning actors individually, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem together create a special brand of Hollywood star power. Penelope Cruz, 36, and Javier Bardem, 41, have acted in several movies together, and have always kept details of their romance low-profile. It seems even when you're a celebrity, some news is just too good not to share! Good luck to the new married couple!

Boycott Mel Gibson: Rant Tapes Show Violent, Rage-Filled Racist

Another Mel Gibson racist rant caught on tape? Yup! And Radar Online has released it unto the world, so that we all might witness "The Passion of the Mel" in its full, unedited glory. And what a thing to behold! The Mel Gibson tapes have thus far proven shocking and disturbing, and the new tape in which Mel Gibson refers to an employee as a "wetback" and calls ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva a "f--king mentally deprived idiot" is no exception.

New Mel Gibson Racist Rant Leaked on Radar Online

So far, the worst of the Mel Gibson tapes released by Radar Online have included death threats, threats of hiding Oksana's body after killing her, and even an apparent confession to a previous aggravated assault against Oksana Grigorieva.

The Mel Gibson rants were recorded by Oksana Grigorieva, though she claims she didn't release them. You can hear some of the latest uncensored, explosive Mel Gibson rants here. These audio recordings are not safe for work, and not safe for kids! Be warned: the Mel Gibson tapes are unsettling, especially when he seemingly admits to knocking out Oksana's teeth while she was holding the former couple's infant daughter in her arms.

In the Mel Gibson rant tapes, Oksana Grigorieva alludes quite specifically to the violent incident, and Mel Gibson responds, "You know what? You deserved it." He made no claim of ignorance, nor did he sound ocnfused as to what Oksana was talking about. The mother of his child specifically mentioned holdng Lucia in her arms and being hit so hard her teeth were knocked out, and Mel Gibson merely said, "You deserved it."

At this sad point, I must say: Boycott Mel Gibson! I know this is hard...I love "Braveheart", too. I think I even have a copy of "What Women Want" laying around somewhere...but I'll be throwing it out. If the actual abuse allegations are found to be true in court, I hope Mel serves his time and Oksana and Lucia are safe. In the court of public opinion, however, these Mel Gibson tapes may have already sealed the actor's fate.

The Hills Finale: Unwelcome Spencer Pratt Parties Across The Street

I'm a bit ashamed to say that I watched some of The Hills finale tonight. However, in my defense, it was at speed x2 on my TiVo...I was really only watching to see if Spencer Pratt would appear and crash the whole deal. Alas, he did not. Instead, the dissed and dismissed The Hills personality held his own bash, right across the street! Gossip queen Perez Hilton apparently helped Spence come up with the plan, and the two garnered some excitement with Twitter teases about crashing The Hills finale all day long.

A fun interview with the....what is he, exactly? Anyway, an interview with Spencer Pratt outside The Hills finale ensued, showing the slightly more lucid side of Spencer Pratt - which is by no means saying anything! - hamming it up for fans outside the Hollywood shindig. The Hills finale itself, like the entire show, was rather boring, but one thing is certain: love him or hate him, Spencer Pratt rarely disappoints those looking to be entertained at his expense. A special 'thank you' to Perez Hilton for giving us a glimpse of that unique brand of Spencer Pratt crazy.

Iran Uprising: Tehran Demonstrations:

It seems from major media reports that demonstrations and protests are still going strong in Tehran, after the highly-contested Iranian elections last week and despite government crackdowns.

Iran's Reformist leader and Presidential-hopeful to many in Tehran and throughout the country, Moussavi, urged his followers to wear black to show unity and mourning for those who have been beaten, shot and killed during more violent protest-backlash earlier this week. Many supporters in Iran, and around the world, are following his call, and donning black garb in addition to the green worn as a show of solidarity with Moussavi.

Interestingly, though the Iranian soccer team has made no formal endorsement, they were seen wearing green armbands in a recently-publicized photo.

While the Supreme Leaders of Iran insist there will be some re-counts and other measures taken to ensure this election will result in a fair and final outcome, it seems more than likely Iran's currently-seated leader, Ahmadinejad, will remain in power.

Ahmadinejad supporters claim there has been no "rigging" or unfair practise in regards to this election, as is alleged by many Moussavi supporters. While both sides clash in the streets, it is through the grainy cell-phone images and videos, as well as Facebook updates and Twitter "tweets" of every-day citizens in Tehran that the world learns of events taking place.

These images are being virtually smuggled into the world view, out from behind the shield of Iranian government, which has banned most media coverage and essentially quarentined international journalists to their hotel rooms. The possible sentence for those caught transmitting images of demonstrations or of government backlash? Death.

Stay tuned.
